The RGD fully submersible backpack provides a full open vertical zip top allowing easy access to the full pack without digging. The RGD Vertipack is constructed of the most element-protective zipper and materials. The primary compartment is submersible and airtight, while six (6) external pockets are water resistant and large enough to accommodate most cell phones and electronics. Two additional external mesh pockets for water bottles and gear.
This RGD pack has been thoroughly tested to protect against rain, snow, dust and even odors. Constructed of a durable 600D TPU exterior shell combined with a SCUBA style fully submersible waterproof, airtight zipper and double stitched seams – delivering an unmatched performance bag for the field, flight or float. Yes the rugid gear is expensive, but the quality is top tier my friend! Bag is spacey and distributes load along your back so bag packs light.
When I got to the cabin it was pouring rain. I was able to sling the bag onto my back giving me 2 free hands to grab more gear. The bag is weatherproof so none of my clothes got wet. Once in the cabin it stayed on the floor and when I needed something it was easy to find with the large center opening. This was an Hometown Hero Outdoors outing that took veterans steelhead fishing over 2 weekends in March. Jeff if you could print our logo on something that I could give out to these patriots who help me get our members outside doing things, I would pay. Maybe the sunglasses wipe?
New materials are great, strong, and stylish
What a fantastic product! This RGD was nice enough to send us the 35L as an auction item to support our JimShockeyClassic Military Fundraiser. While photographing the bag for our social media posts I was thrilled with the quality of this product! Not a flaw on any of the seams, great zippers that didn’t break your wrist when closing them and consistent color throughout the bag! Like everything about the bag absent the small top zippered pocket. It’s a small entry into the larger compartment of the bag. That really needs to be its own pocket as I don’t see much use in accessing the larger compartment through such a small zippered opening.
Hello Joel, appreciate the feedback. Our intent behind that small upper zipper was to be able to grab little things out of the top - like a hat or gloves - without having to open the primary compartment. The bag does have 4 other external pockets on the main compartment plus the two on the waist so we opted not to divide it. Thanks again! Jeff
